Shoreditch Design Week 2026: Six days of design, collaboration, and creativity

Shoreditch Design Week returned from 15-20 September 2026, bringing together the design community across the district for six days of exhibitions, installations, product launches, talks, tours, workshops, showroom events and parties. The 2026 edition welcomed 11,870 visitors, highlighting Shoreditch’s position as LDF’s largest official district.

Held across the district, this year’s programme brought together more than 50 partners, showrooms, studios, galleries, pop-ups and cultural spaces, creating a diverse programme that showcased established brands alongside emerging designers, independent studios and creative collaborations.

At the heart of the week were five curated exhibitions, which ran from 15-17 September, alongside an extended programme of activity continuing across Shoreditch until 20 September. From material innovation and inclusive design to workplace environments, product design and future-facing ideas, the programme reflected the breadth of design happening across the district.

A programme shaped by collaboration A number of major collaborations formed key moments within this year’s programme, bringing together designers, brands and organisations from across the industry.

Material Matters returned to London for its fifth edition, finding a new home at UNLOCKED Shoreditch on Curtain Road. The exhibition brought together around 50 exhibitors exploring material innovation, with an accompanying programme of talks and events.

The programme also welcomed the return of House of ICON at Shoreditch Town Hall, transforming the Grade II-listed building into a showcase of design across its many spaces. The programme featured installations, products and events from a range of creative partners, including ISOLA, 2LG Studio, FLOURISH and Speakeasy Sessions.

Design at Work by OnOffice also returned, bringing established workplace brands together at Protein Studios, with sixteen3, IBCONNECT, Colebrook Bosson Saunders and Bisley among those featured. Also held within Protein Studios, Neuroplaces explored neurodiversity and inclusive design, bringing together experts from design, neuroscience and the built environment.

ND Selects presented a curated selection of work from emerging designers at Kachette, while Design Burger took over Kachette Annex, showcasing their new book: The Product Design 100. Visitors had the opportunity to discover the 100 influential products selected by Design Burger and purchase a copy.

Highlights across the district Beyond the main exhibition venues, the programme extended across the neighbourhood, with more than 50 showrooms, studios, galleries, pop-ups and cultural spaces opening their doors for product launches, installations, talks, workshops, tours, networking and evening events.

Among the highlights was Wood for the Trees by AHEC, presented with Mitre & Mondays and Benchmark. Running from 15-20 September, the installation explored the journey of timber through six stages – Growth, Stewardship, Selection, Resilience, Timber and Designer – inspired by the ideas explored in Forested Future.

Alongside these showcases, visitors could take part in talks, tours and workshops throughout the week, including Material Matters Talks, Speakeasy Sessions, Tokyobike Tours and walks led by local designers.

With 11,870 visitors across the week, Shoreditch Design Week 2026 brought together designers, architects, specifiers, brands, makers and the wider design community across one of London’s most creative districts.

The breadth of this year’s programme highlighted the value of bringing different parts of the design community together, from established industry names and independent studios to cultural organisations, emerging talent and new creative collaborations.
