The Ideal Home Show is the longest-running consumer exhibition in the world, a flagship of innovation, design, and lifestyle for the modern home. With a brand that continues to grow in scope and prestige, we’re looking for a commercially savvy, entrepreneurial Commercial Manager to drive revenue, grow partnerships, and lead from the front.
The role
As Commercial Manager, you’ll play a lead role on the development and delivery of both sponsorship and stand agreements across the Ideal Home Show Spring. Inclusive of high-profile sponsorship and experiential deals. You’ll help lead the show sponsorship performance, secure brand-aligned activations, and grow our sponsorship and experiential base through creative and consultative selling.
You’ll work closely with the Commercial Director and the wider event, marketing, content and operations teams to ensure each client has a seamless, rewarding experience, from first conversation to on-site delivery.
What you’ll be doing
- At the forefront of selling opportunities across sponsorship and stand revenue on the Ideal Home Show portfolio (Spring)
- Building a strong pipeline of sponsors, commercial partners and exhibitors across relevant sectors
- Creating compelling, tailored and creative proposals that meet client objectives and add value to the show
- Leading by example on key accounts and closing high-value sales
- Collaborating with content and features teams to develop integrated sponsorship opportunities
- Working with operations and marketing to ensure delivery exceeds client expectations
- Regularly analysing metrics, data and trends to optimise pricing, floorplan strategy and achieving targets
- Attending industry events to identify leads, network and stay ahead of market shifts
- Preparing insightful post-show analysis and contributing to future show development
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Sponsorship revenue growth year-on-year
- Identify and grow new business, across sponsorship and stands
- Conversion rate on proposals and pitches
- Retention and satisfaction rates of sponsors and exhibitors
- Timely delivery of all commercial elements on-site
- Innovation and creativity in packaging and presenting commercial opportunities
You should have…
- A proven track record in senior sponsorship and/or exhibition sales roles
- Demonstrable experience growing revenues across complex, large-scale events
- Excellent sales skills – from cold call to close – with the confidence to pitch at senior level
- Experience in creating tailored proposals
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Commercial awareness and the ability to spot and shape new opportunities
- Experience managing high-value clients and building long-term relationships
- A team player mentality with the drive to lead, mentor and collaborate
- A flair for selling within lifestyle, interiors or consumer-facing sectors is a bonus

This full time role is based in our Loughton, Essex office.
